2011 "Welcome Back to School"

Welcome to the 201-2012 school year! We would like to thank all of our volunteers that helped us achieve and exceed our goals. The PTSA would like to remain focused on the mission that includes developing academic and life opportunities for our students, community service in the neighborhoods our families live in, and maintaining a fun and safe environment in which our students can learn and grow. The PTSA believes together we can continue to provide our students with resources and programs that allows them to be competitive and encouraged about the future that awaits them. MISSION

To promote and highlight the exceptional qualities of the Oscar Smith High School students in an effort to earn a positive reputation, improve school spirit, and create leaders that can mentor and build a strong community.

GOALS & PROJECTS

Everyone has goals...we do too! We want our membership to GROW. We want to see more OSHS supporters involved. Why...because it allows us greater flexibility to support more programs that benefit all of our students. Here are just a few of the programs that we support...Blood Drives, Scholarships, T-Shirt and Ticket Event Sales, the VA PTA Reflection program, and so much more.... You will find PTSA volunteers in the Main Office, on the football field, chaperoning field trips and even in the Guidance Office. Last year we documented over 90,000 volunteer hours.
